I came across some sleepers and onesies that I bought at a kid swap that sort of were "thrown" in to the mix. As we all know when your pregnant volume seems to overide practicality. Charlotte never wore most of these little cast offs but they did come in handy to make this lovely blanket! My mom is visiting from Ontario she is an inspriation to be around not only because she is my mom but because she is a creative expert sewer! We worked on this little piece together.
While doing this I started to think about what these clothes have been thru - maybe first smiles, sleepless nights, teething troubles, first steps and I grew to sort of look at them in a new light.
So here it is all sewn together to wrap up ( literally and figuratively) some memories. Transformed in a way to create new ones.....cuddling up by the fire all cozy reading a favourite story comes to mind.
